Utah Valley Sport Fencing was established in 1996 by Julie Seal and Bethany Andrews as a federally tax exempt public charity. UVSF was the first school of fencing in all of Utah and Idaho! We serve over 200 athletes currently and administer programs at our newly expanded Orem State Street facility, as well as Utah Valley State College, UVSC Continuing Education, and the Utah Youth Fencing League.
UVSF is a registered school with the United States Fencing Association.

We are directly West of the Scera Theater in Orem (next to Brent Brown Collision and Mad Dog Cycles). Our facility currently offers 12 "electric strips" (electronically scored competition lanes) and a full service armory. Utah Valley Fencing Academy offers you electronic, competition scoring for all three weapons: foil, epee and sabre. Our strips have overhead displays on both ends of each fencing "strip" or lane. Members can purchase equipment or repairs from our full service armory. Parents may watch their children progress from our observation bleachers or sit with brother or sister in our movie lounge.
Equipment is provided for new students at Utah Valley Fencing Academy. All students are highly encouraged to begin aquiring their own personal equipment. Many students make the effort to purchase one new piece of personal equipment each month until they have a complete set ($450.00). Until then, UVSF (non-profit since 1996) uses its funds to help you and your family to have the most educational experience possible!
Learn from the Pros about foil, epee, and sabre. We will teach you beginning form and footwork, dueling history and modern fencing technique. Let our staff help you to determine the best type of equiment for you. Our full service armory will fix your bodycord, rewire your weapon, stitch your torn uniform or adjust your point!
You will find resources for all of your fencing needs here at UVFA. In addition to equipment and armory service as well as state of the art competition lanes, we have our own athlete "locker room" !
